Kitty Hawk’s Digital Component

Kitty Hawk Lab

A Website Built By Kids for Kids

The Adrienne Arsht Center’s Kitty Hawk Digital Component was created in partnership with Code Fever Miami. Code Fever Miami instructed students from South Florida Schools through a 12 week Interactive Learning Lab course in which they learned the fundamental core concepts of coding to build a live website for the Adrienne Arsht Center. The students in the program learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and applied all those principles to create this website along with basic games and interactive elements elements which can be found in the student produced game section. These students had a blast using their acquired skills to build their first games and websites! Students selected some of their favorite portions of the classes and wrote mini-recaps of what they learned in their own personal blogs on WordPress. They took time at the end of class to document parts of their journey in learning how to code. You can check out the games that they created and micro-blogs below.
